Life Management

Life changes. Every hour of every day, every month of every year. With it, we change too. As humans, as people, as personalities. Sometimes the changes are good and some times they are bad. Some of them we can control and some we cannot. Our only option is to work with what we have at any given time, stride to become better and get closer to the image we have of ourselves. The good times are to be cherished and the bad times are meant to strengthen our resistances and forge our wills. Having problems is part of life. Dealing with them is up to us. Each and every one of us has different battle plan for the when things rough up.
I have been through some rough situations. In all aspects of life. Educational, financial, family, emotional... You name it, I've been through it. I have been through times when I couldn't face myself in the mirror and other times when I look at it and see a million bucks (or euros, pick your currency). My way of dealing with most difficult situations is simple. I try to reinforce myself. If something really terrible happens I think of it as an out of body experience. Like a bad joke that is doomed to end at some point. And at that point my life will flex its muscles back to normal. During that time, during the slumber, I try to do things as emotionally detached and mechanically as possible. Try to balance things, focus on the positive things in your life, try to to find the best possible way to turn the tide. Best quote I read today : If you don't like where you are just move forward. You are not a brick wall.
Best advice I can give is to let people help. People whose opinion you trust, who can be positive forces. Sometimes you will find the greatest help in the most unusual places. May it be family or may it be friends. The Beatles made a song about it...I'll get by with a little help from my friends.
